Research directions (Information technology)
The Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) is one of the leading units in research and development. The number of international scientific and technological products of the Faculty is increasing over the years. The number of Scopus scientific publications increased from 20 works (in 2010) to 40 (2014) and the proportion of ISI and SCI publications witnessed yearly rises. In addition to the KSE International Scientific Conference, the Faculty of Information Technology and its scientists participated in the organization of international scientific conferences such as RIVF, ATVA, QTNA, etc; the number of scientists who are the authors of international scientific journals also grows every year. Moreover, there have been international author groups formed with significant contributions from the scientists of FIT.
The Faculty of Information Technology and its departments/laboratories have become the center to welcome and to promote cooperation with many advanced scientific – industrial organizations in the world. The cooperation in doctoral training of FIT with units of the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology has obtained remarkable results. A number of international scientific research groups, containing both foreign scientists and scientists from our Faculty, have been formed with ever-rising sustainability, such as the Bioinformatics research group, the Biomedical-texts Data mining research group, Natural language processing research group, etc.
